  • Ministry of Defence issued Omega watch to the V-Force Nuclear Bomber Pilots & Navigators flying Victor, Valiant and Vulcan Bombers during the "Cold War" period - The MOD in 1952 requested Omega to design and make a watch that would not be affected by the electromagnetic field produced by the detonation of a Nuclear Bomb dropped from one of these aircraft - this watch dated 1953 - Stainless Steel Case with iron inner case, spring loaded retaining ring and iron perimeter ring (often missing but still with this watch) - replacement strap

    Complete and in excellent, original condition - very small crack to glass at the base

    Has all the markings and date of isssue 1968 - Working order and keeps good time - used condition - The watch was working when acquired it but we had the Set Bridge, Set Lever replaced and a service to bring it up to standard - replacement strap.

  • 1989 dated example of a French paratrooper's steel helmet - steel helmets now very much a collectable curiosity from the 20th Century obsolete in the 21st Century - The French after huge numbers of catastophic head injuries during WW1 from shell bursts were the first to introduce protective stel helmets for their troops, this example from France being the last pattern to be made from steel - in it's original post war olive green paint finish

    A "57" replacement pommel for the Third Riech Kriegsmarine dirk - Members of the Kriegsmarine were still permitted to wear their dress daggers after the war finished in 1945 providing the swastika had been removed and in 1957 these pommels became available to replace the original pommels bearing the swastika, however by then the demand had greatly diminished and few were sold making them quite rare.
